Josh gained experience in construction accounting, management, and operations during his time as an employee of his family's business, Shelby Contracting, Inc. in Huntsville, Alabama.
While in law school, Josh clerked for the United States Department of Justice and received a certification in mediation through the Intercultural Negotiation and Mediation program conducted by the Institut für Anwaltsrecht at the Humbolt University Law Faculty in Berlin, Germany. While in undergraduate school, he worked in the offices of Congressman Robert "Bud" Cramer, former member of the U.S. House of Representatives from the 5th District of Alabama, and Senator Ted Little, representing the 27th District of Alabama.
Outside of practicing law, Josh enjoys coaching youth sports, traveling, and spending time with his family.
