Tennessee Bar Association selects two Stites & Harbison attorneys for Leadership Law 2015


NASHVILLE, Tenn.—The Tennessee Bar Association (TBA) has selected Stites & Harbison, PLLC attorneys Rebecca Barnett and Rebecca McKelvey Castañeda to participate in its Leadership Law Class for 2015. Leadership Law is a six-month leadership training program where participants learn the vision, knowledge and skills necessary to serve as leaders in their profession and local communities. Thirty-seven attorneys from Tennessee were selected to participate in the Class of 2015.

Castañeda is an attorney based in Stites & Harbison’s Nashville office. She practices primarily in the field of domestic relations, assisting with divorce, child custody, adoption, relocation, child support, and Hague Convention international child abduction cases. She serves on the board of directors for the Tennessee Justice Center, served as a member of the Belmont University Young Alumni Council for three years and now serves as a member of Belmont University Alumni Board of Directors (immediate past president).

Barnett is Counsel with Stites & Harbison and a Registered Patent Attorney based in the firm’s Memphis office. Her practice is focused on developing and maintaining domestic and international patent portfolios, primarily in the biological, chemical and mechanical arts. She is the vice president of the Board of Directors for the Tennessee Intellectual Property Law Association, an Executive Committee member for the TBA’s Intellectual Property Section, and a member of the Nashville Bar Association’s Leadership Law Class of 2015.
