Stites & Harbison welcomes six new attorneys

LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Stites & Harbison, PLLC, announced today the addition of six new associates to the firm. Five of the six attorneys were added to the Louisville, Ky., office; one was added to the Lexington, Ky., office.

Louisville, Ky., Office Additions:

Nicole Thieneman Maddox joins the Real Estate Service Group. She graduated magna cum laude in 2012 from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, Louisville, Ky. In law school, she was supervising editor of the Journal of Law Education. She joined Stites & Harbison after serving as Chief Deputy, Legal Assistant, for the Circuit Court Clerk in Louisville, Ky. She is admitted to practice in Kentucky.

Brian R. Pollock joins the Creditors’ Rights & Bankruptcy Service Group. He earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, Louisville, Ky., in 2010. While attending law school, Pollock served as bluebook and ILL editor of the University of Louisville Law Review and was a founding member and executive editor of the Journal of Animal and Environmental Law. Prior to joining the firm, he served as judicial clerk to the Hon. Thomas H. Fulton, United States Bankruptcy Court, Western District of Kentucky. He is admitted to practice in Kentucky.

Oluwafunminto (Funto) P. Seton joins the Business Litigation Service Group. She is a 2012 graduate of Vanderbilt University Law School, Nashville, Tenn. During law school, she served as the vice president of the International Law Society and as co-chair of admissions and recruiting for the Black Law Students Association. Seton’s law school seminar paper formed the basis of an International Bar Association report entitled Safeguarding Judicial Independence in Mixed Tribunals: Lessons from the ECCC and Best Practices for the Future, September 2011. Prior to joining Stites & Harbison, she served as spring extern for the Tennessee Attorney General, Consumer Advocate and Protection Division. She also participated in Stites & Harbison’s summer associate program, 2010 and 2011. She is admitted to practice in Kentucky.

Ozair M. Shariff joins Health Care Service Group. He earned his J.D. from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law, Bloomington, Ind., in 2012. In law school, Shariff served as vice president of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association. Prior to joining Stites & Harbison, he participated in the firm’s summer associate program in 2010 and 2011. He is admitted to practice in Kentucky.

Kristina M. Wetterer joins the Torts & Insurance Practice Service Group. She graduated from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, Louisville, Ky., in 2012. In law school, she was an associate editor of the University of Louisville Law Review, and was president of the Student Bar Association. Additionally, she was a member of the Moot Court Board. Prior to joining Stites & Harbison, she participated in the firm’s summer associate program in 2011. She is admitted to practice in Kentucky.

Lexington, Ky., Office Additions:

Steven A. Neace joins the Torts & Insurance Practice Service Group. He graduated Order of the Coif from the University of Kentucky College of Law, Lexington, Ky., in 2012. During law school, he served as the online editor for Kentucky Journal of Equine, Agriculture and Natural Resources Law. Prior to joining Stites & Harbison, Neace participated in the firm’s summer associate program in 2011. He is admitted to practice in Kentucky.
