Chrisandrea Turner Earns 2024 Lawdragon Global Honor in Bankruptcy & Restructuring

Turner is the Only Honoree from Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky.—Lawdragon has named Stites & Harbison, PLLC attorney Chrisandrea Turner to the 2024 Lawdragon 500 Leading Global Bankruptcy & Restructuring Lawyers. Turner has been recognized four times by Lawdragon – three times in the U.S. guide and once in the current global guide, which replaces the U.S. guide. Turner is the only Kentucky attorney honored in 2024.

According to the media company, Lawdragon 500 Leading Global Bankruptcy & Restructuring Lawyers include “veteran bankruptcy and financial restructuring lawyers throughout the U.S. as well as litigators who specialize in detangling financial failures. Those included typically have decades of experience in significant roles in the largest, most complex reorganizations, or the financings including distressed M&A, that avert them. Those included are traditional bankruptcy lawyers, specialists in leveraged finance and restructuring, and litigators well-versed in financial litigation and distress.” Recipients of Lawdragon honors are selected via review of nominations and extensive independent research.

Turner is a Member (Partner) based in the firm’s Lexington office. She is Chair of the firm’s Creditors’ Rights & Bankruptcy Service Group. Her practice focuses on corporate bankruptcy and restructuring and adversary proceeding defense. She regularly represents lenders, trade creditors, lessors and lessees, sureties and large creditors in Chapter 11 matters and complex bankruptcies around the country. Her litigation practice includes receiverships, preferential and fraudulent transfer defense in bankruptcies, nondischarge of debt adversaries and foreclosure. She also serves clients in the areas of environmental actions, healthcare matters and corporate transactions.

Turner stays active in a variety of professional and community organizations. She is former Chair of the Kentucky Bar Association’s Bankruptcy Law Section and a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Women Lawyers Association and the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation. Turner is also a member of the Board of Directors of Dv8 Vocational Training Foundation and Secretary of the Executive Committee of Leadership Kentucky. She is a former Chair of Women Leading Kentucky.
