Summer Associate Program

We are now accepting 1L applications for our 2025 Summer Associate Program.

Are you a first-year (1L) law student looking to gain real-world experience in a collaborative and supportive environment?

We currently have 1L Summer Associate positions in Louisville, KY; Lexington, KY; and Atlanta, GA. The program will run for 10 weeks, from May 12 to July 18, 2025.

Part-Time Intellectual Property Law Clerk* - Alexandria, Va. office

Stites & Harbison, PLLC, a full-service law firm, has a great opportunity for a current law student seeking practical and hands-on experience in intellectual property law. The firm has an established intellectual property practice and is seeking candidates for a law clerk position on a part-time basis to support the firm’s Alexandria, VA office. Responsibilities will include preparing and filing new patent applications and other prosecution documents, as well as supporting the intellectual property practice.

This is not an associate position, and established attorneys are not eligible.

This is also not a remote position and only candidates within commuting distance of the office will be considered. We offer a business casual atmosphere that promotes a positive work environment for all employees.

Qualifications:

• Eligibility is limited to students enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school.
• Broad knowledge of, or interest in, intellectual property and technology law.
• Ideal candidate has a B.S. in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
